During winter extreme climatic conditions are often common. Cold weather, wind and sun are stressing the skin particularly strongly. In the mountains the UV radiation is especially high because of the height and reflection of the sunlight by the snow. Therefore there are many special sun protection products for skiing and winter walking in the market.
K-Tipp had the currently available alpine products tested in Germany. The specialists examined the protective effect with test persons and in the laboratory against the skin-damaging UVB and UVA radiation.
Result of the K-Tipp test: Only two of six sun protection products fulfill the European Union guidelines: the creams of Piz Buin and Sun Look.
